HEALTHCARE SERVICES

Network and System Vulnerability Assessment & Advisory Service

As networks are gradually turning into more intricate and accessible infrastructures, and healthcare organization will soon be utilizing them as the primary vehicle to exchange EHR’s, ePHR, and access to health information exchanges (HIE), the threat environment is changing dramatically. New security risks are discovered every day in commonly used applications, operating systems and network components. This risk will only be exasperated by the many new soon to be deployed Electronic Health Records (EHR) applications being developed now. These risks are used by hackers and criminals to carry out attacks and unauthorized access to information. The consequences of attacks are becoming increasingly severe for healthcare organizations and patients. The victims are suffering from losses related to interruption in business, bad publicity and exposure of confidential information. Bridge Consulting offers two types of proactive network vulnerability services to identify and effectively manage and reduce the risk of exposure.

  • Perimeter Vulnerability Scan

The Perimeter Vulnerability Scan (PVS) is a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution that is quickly deployed and requires no installation or maintenance. PVS scans your perimeter which consists of the same Internet-facing devices that hackers target. We help you to detect vulnerabilities and manage remediation to prevent hackers from penetrating your network from the outside. Delivered as an on-demand SaaS, the solution is seamlessly scalable to fit your needs at all times. A PVS report is delivered and reviewed with remediation recommendations.

  • Internal Vulnerability Scan

A great majority of security breaches are caused by people that already have access to the organizations internal network. Healthcare staff, augmented staff, and other people you trust pose an unintentional, and sometimes intentional potential threat to the very foundation of your network and system security if you do not take proper precautions. At the same time, most of the security measures and devices found in today’s organizations are reactive and concentrate mainly on attacks from the outside. Being focused inside the network, our Internal Vulnerability Scan (IVS) is able to take a wider approach to security risk management. Vulnerabilities can be successfully identified and managed on all servers, workstations and other devices that are available from within the network. The sensitive vulnerability information discovered by this service never leaves your internal network, but is securely stored by Bridge. The IVS uses a server appliance that is temporarily installed on the client’s internal network for fast complete vulnerability scans and then wiped clean of all client information at the end of the service delivery. An IVS report is delivered and reviewed with remediation recommendations.

One-Time and Managed Service Options

Both the PVS and the IVS are delivered on a one-time basis to provide a "snap-shot" view of network and systems vulnerabilies. Or, these services may be delivered as a "Managed Service" providing consistant and on-going surveilllance and protection.
